Patpong Market

We decided to dig a little deeper into Bangkok's underbelly and headed to Patpong Night Market.  This really was part of the red light district.  In addition to vendors aggressively selling imitation watches and handbags, there were hawkers not-so-discreetly selling other services and directing people into strip clubs that lined the street.  We didn't stay long -- the crowds and people constantly approaching to try and sell you things is exhausting.

We stopped at Yoppi's Frozen Yogurt shop -- they actually are based in Bangkok but have locations in San Francisco too.  We tried their "Cotton Ice" which is only available in Bangkok.  Ours was caramel flavored with bananas.  The texture was really unique.  It was like shaved ice but practically melted in our mouths.  I wish they sold it here in the US too.
